Ok, let’s face it, we all can relate to the fact that there is “too much month left at the end of the money.”   So what can we do about it?  Believe it or not, you have a tremendous amount of control over the situation.

Following are a few tips for bringing in more money NOW:

  • If you must travel, take advantage of the many travel discounts available.  Travelocity, Expedia, and Orbitz are a few examples; but contacting the airline directly would be your best bet because they offer special deals and rates these other websites can’t offer.  To find these deals, signup for the airlines free newsletters and you will be notified when new promotions and discounts are introduced.  And as a member of their newsletter group, you will be offered the deals first before offering it to the general public.
  • Listen Live Graphics (Indy)

  • Get cash for your “clunkers.”   One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.  You will never know how much you can get for that old lawn mower you never use, or tools, or toaster, or coffee maker, or any appliance or item unless you post it on Craigslist to see who will pay for it.  You can even put old books, magazine, albums, CD’s, DVD movies, dishes; you name it!   Try it – you will be pleasantly surprised.

  • If you can’t afford to create a website, then start a blog about a special service or skill that you offer.  WordPress offers FREE blogs, and you can design it however you’d like.  And then there’s always free advertising on tons of social websites; facebook, linkedin, digg, technorati, and many others!

  • If the blog thing is not for you, consider selling your items on e-bay.  Again it’s free, and there are millions of individuals looking to purchase items of many sorts.  Baby clothes, and baby items, are a huge seller on e-bay.  It’s worth your time to check it out.
