Well it finally happened, Jay Z and Beyonce had their baby, a little girl last night in New York City. Congratulations to the happy couple. Now, folks are losing their minds over what they have named their new bundle of joy. They named their new package of sunshine “Blue Ivy”.
There’s speculation and various theories of why the couple named the baby “Blue Ivy,” but here’s the simple truth, they must have had their reason. A reason that has significance to them, and as much as we what to wonder why, or criticize their choice of names, the truth is, the name means something to them, and that’s all that really matters.
I know the day will come when their child will ask them why they named her “Blue Ivy” and the best thing is they will have a story to tell her and I’m sure a meaning behind their choice. Weather it’s Jay’s favorite color and the day of the month they were both born, or something else. What will matter most is that at that moment, their child will understand how special she is to her parents.
