The mother of Chauncey Hardy, the Connecticut basketball prodigy who died after he was brutally beaten and forsaken in the hospital in Romania, is looking for answers.
Olamae Hardy, 45, who buried her son earlier this month at a funeral with over 2,000 attendees, promised that she would continue to seek justice for her son until the day she dies.
“If I have to go to Romania, I will do what I have to do to pursue justice for my son,” Hardy said. “There are too many empty holes. There’s too many unanswered questions.”
After the game, Hardy and six teammates went to a nightclub, where Chauncey reportedly danced with a woman, infuriating her boyfriend. Two minutes later, a teammate found the Connecticut kid sprawled on the ground, sources say.
