A Broadway musical based on late entertainer, Michael Jackon may be granted a green light if his estate approves.

Organizers at Nederlander Presentations allegedly entered into a contract with the late King of Pop to produce a stage show featuring his hits. However, due to his death organizers have been left with no choice but to ask for a court date and chance to bring the intended production to the stage.

While the musical sounds like a decent idea, Jackson’s estate lawyer Howard Weitzman is set to argue against the production.

“I’ve seen their creditor’s claim. I don’t agree with their request,” Weitzman told TMZ.

Originally set for Broadway, the project was planned to start in 2011.
