I woke this morning with God on my mind and he handed me three simple words, “Not This Time.” Today I start on a thirty day journey, a journey for peace in our community. I’ve started a “Hunger strike”, a “Fast for Peace” that is designed to bring awareness to the plight that is devastating our community, the plight of violence! I’m hoping that through fasting and prayer, I can help to bring about a better understanding of what we are doing to one another.
Three simple words (“Not This Time”) can help to make that happen. Imagine if you or someone you know is about to do something wrong, and the split second before taking the action that may change your life forever, you stop and just say “Not This Time!” Those simple words, that simple action could be the difference between life and death to you and those you love. Please pray for me on this journey, and please pray for our community.
