NORWALK, CT– Rev. Al Sharpton will speak tonight in support of Tonya McDowell, a homeless mother who was accused of stealing education by enrolling her son into a school under a friend’s address.
Sharpton will be the keynote speaker at a rally on Tuesday night at Brookside Elementary School.
McDowell gained national attention after being arrested this spring. She pleaded not guilty to a larceny charge in the case and returns to court Tuesday.
